Francisco Javier Carrillo Ph,D.

Scientist and consultant devoted to Knowledge Systems and Knowledge Management (KM). He is professor of KM at the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico, where he founded the Center for Knowledge Systems in 1992. His main interests are knowledge-based development (individual, organisational, social); capital systems measurement, audit and development; and the contribution of knowledge systems to the emergence of a global consciousness. He is the founder of the World Capital Institute

He has developed a KM Model (Knowledge-based Value Systems®) and its associated method (Capital Systems®) which have been applied in over 60 KM consultancy projects in several countries. Based on this model and experience, he and his colleagues at CKS have developed since 1998 the ITESM graduate KM curriculum program. He seats on the Advisory/Editorial Boards of several international KM organizations, has published substantially and is a regular presenter at intenational conferences

He has built a KM network throughout the Americas. He is the founder and editor of The Knowledge Management KMetaSite, a free web-based KM reference service.
